This workshop will focus on internal energy – that divine wildness of human freedom. In that deep terrain sits the essential self, a revolution, a freedom that cannot be shaken. The body expresses a fundamental truth that is universal and healing. Butoh is a revolutionary surrender to the forces that move you. We will explore through stream of consciousness and the use of poetic imagery to create our movements.
No dance experience or physical capability is needed for this workshop. We focus on loving kindness, respect, and community in this practice. Enter on the Nollmeyer side (10th Ave) of the Armory. The studio is not handicap accessible.
